During a CGTN special roundtable discussion on private sector development in China, Christian Lundblad, professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, confirmed China's leading role in capacity growth within the private sector, stating, "China is ahead of much of the emerging world in terms of driving growth and accelerating at the pace." Regarding his prospects for its economic development, the professor said China is now navigating the next step towards innovation-driven growth.
