We Talk: Taiwan people's views on DPP authorities' strategy of 'seeking independence by relying on the U.S.'

In recent years, Taiwan authorities have increasingly relied on external forces to pursue "Taiwan independence."  

CGTN Stringer has conducted interviews with people in the Taiwan region to get their thoughts on the issue and discuss its potential impacts on society, the well-being of the island's people and cross-Strait relations. This video hopes to showcase the real voices of the Taiwan society and provide a more comprehensive understanding of Taiwan people's desire for peace and stability. "Being too dependent on foreign or major powers for protection is dangerous," said Mr Tsai, a local resident. Another, Mr Shi, expressed that if the situation after reunification is good, "I'm quite in favor of it."
